Who We Are
Deben Carpets and Flooring are a family-run company offering quality carpets, floors and fittings across Ipswich, Woodbridge and Suffolk. Ensuring full satisfaction from every customer has been at the heart of our business since we opened in 2012. Our showroom can be found in Martlesham Heath. Inside, you can expect expert advice on anything from stain-free and wool carpets to LVT tiles and Karndean flooring.

Meet the Deben Team
Chris oversees all installations within Deben Carpets and Flooring and has attended specialist installation courses including Karndean, Amtico, ARDEX, F. Ball, Victoria Carpets and subfloor renovation. As well as running the business, he is a keen dog walker on the weekends with his two cocker spaniels, Alfie and Mia, who you will sometimes find at the showroom during the week. Chris is keen on sports and has played football and competed in Olympic lifting within the region. His favourite flooring is mFLOR design flooring and Brockway Carpets 'Rare Breeds' as its un-dyed wool is as natural as it comes!
Rachel runs the showroom in Martlesham. She oversees all installations and general running of the business on a day to day basis. Like Chris, she has previous experience as a police officer in both Suffolk & Essex, transferring a wealth of skills and attributes to the company. She also has a fine eye for interiors and is always at hand on interior advice. Rachel will often have her two cocker spaniels, Alfie and Mia, in the showroom. She is often out walking with them all over Suffolk at the weekends. Rachel's favourite flooring is Alternative Flooring Quirky B, which she has on the stairs at home. Karen has over 40 years’ experience in carpets and flooring, having previously run a company in Ipswich before joining her son, Chris, at Deben Carpets and Flooring. Karen has helped many clients over the years in choosing their preferred carpet colour or floor and has a wealth of experience in the correct floor for any size project. She enjoys shopping and is often found browsing through the boutique shops in Woodbridge. Karen's favourite flooring is Brockway Dimensions carpet as it's a good quality British wool carpet!
Chrissy recently joined the team at Deben Carpets and Flooring. She has worked in carpets and flooring for over 15 years and brings a wealth of experience in the trade. She has worked on late scaled carpet projects and commercial flooring projects. She has a good eye for colours and is always on hand for help and advice. Chrissy enjoys DIY and looking after her grandson Warren at the weekends. Chrissy's favourite floor is Distinctive Flooring Roma, which we have on the showroom floor in Martlesham!
Graeme has 25 years’ experience in carpets and flooring, bringing with him a wealth of experience and high European standards. He has always worked locally in Suffolk and enjoys the countryside at the weekend with his dog, a Siberian husky called Diesel. His favourite flooring is Alternative Flooring & Victoria Carpets (as used by Her Majesty the Queen).
John has been in carpets and flooring for five years now. His workmanship and craft in hard flooring is particularly outstanding. He is a design floor specialist, hand-cutting and designing motifs in floors and being a dedicated Harvey Maria installer. He is one of the youngest on the team, yet his skills are that of a 25-year veteran installer. He has a young family and enjoys going to the park and eating out at the weekends!
