Little Bealings

We responded to an email enquiry from a homeowner in Little Bealings, Suffolk, who required help with the installation of luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) in their dining room, which would refresh the space and give it a new lease of life. They also required a new carpet to be fitted in the lounge area, which formed part of the open plan design of the room.

The key request here was to ensure the transition between the two areas was seamless, rather than creating a noticeable divide in the décor used for the flooring. This was a rather unique challenge for our installation team and one that required us to think outside of the box to create the perfect finish for the customer.

Our plan of action

To achieve the goals of the project, we provided a range of samples to the customer and a clear outline of how we would create the desired look.

Once agreed by the customer, we attended the home on three occasions to section off the dining area, while also applying two coats of levelling compound to the subfloor. This meant once the underlay and carpet was installed in the lounge area, the level of the floor would be exactly the same across the entire room.

The final visit entailed the installation of the LVT’s in the dining space and along with a plush carpet in the lounge. The two spaces were joined together seamlessly thanks to the levelling out of the floor, removing any trip hazard that might otherwise have existed.
